Overview:
DNA polymerase (DNAP) is an enzyme that catalyzes the DNA molecules and is crucial for DNA replication. Sau DNA polymerase large fragment is a product of the Staphylococcus aureus DNA polymerase I that retains the 5´→ 3´ polymerase activity of DNA polymerase I but lacks the 5´→ 3´ and 3´→ 5´ exonuclease activity (1). Sau DNA polymerase has a wide range of applications such as primer labelling, second-strand cDNA synthesis, DNA strand displacement synthesis, recombinase polymerase amplification, and single dA tailing (2).
